
Stay and Play
- Kayak early in the morning when the lake is calm and see fish everywhere. Bring polarized sunglasses.
- Fish off the dock and see how many you can catch and release. Or - enjoy a classic fish fry.
- Make s’mores on the camp fire under the stars.
- Tie the swim mat to the dock or pontoon and just soak up the sun. Have a picnic on the water.
- Catch frogs in the shoreline vegetation.
- Play yard games. Winners get ice cream!
- Bring snorkel gear and check out the fish under the dock when the lake is calm.

Go Out and About
- Watch the Kwahamot Ski Team shows Tues/Thur/Sat - usually at 7:30pm (Tomahawk spelled backwards).
- Checkout the historic downtown Tomahawk area on West Wisconsin Ave, filled with shops ranging from cheese and wine to nutrition. A Farmers’ Market is planned for Tuesdays (June - October).
- Park at Veteran’s Memorial Park, play at the playground and take the Tomahawk Riverwalk trail. Stop at Dairy Queen for a treat on your way!
- Start at Sara Park and bike the Hiawatha Trail from downtown Tomahawk. If you make it all the way to the northern tip of Lake Nokomis at the county line - it’s 13 miles round trip. If you’re really crazy, you can proceed onto the Bearskin Trail and go all the way to Minocqua!
- Check out the Wildwood Park Safari (Zoo) in Minocqua - kids love it!
- Hike to the tip of the peninsula at Bradley Park on Lake Mohawksin for a panoramic water view. Bring bug spray and enjoy the sunset views.
- Listen to live music on the shores of the Wisconsin river on Wednesday nights in June and July at Memorial Park

- Watch the 4th of July parade and fireworks in downtown Tomahawk
- Check out the Flea Market on Saturday mornings at Qualheim’s True Value from May - October.
